Lecture 1
Lyceum Lodge of Research, Tuesday, 21st June, Johannesburg.
The cancellation of all flights on Sunday, 19th June meant
that I could not leave Scotland until the following day.
There had also been an error made by the travel agent who
had booked flight leaving South Africa on Wednesday, 22nd
instead of Thursday. A three day stay had been reduced to
one! In other words I went to South Africa for the day! To

The
lecture chosen by the Brethren was 'The Operative Legacy
within Scottish Freemasonry'.
